OMG no WAI

What makes a Wii more appealing? Make it black. On August 1st, Nintendo Wiis will come in a more menacing and darker appearance in Japan for ¥25,000 along with black Wii periphs as well.
I think this is old news, but it's new to me, and it's actually making me think about seriously purchasing one of these bad boys... I'll be waiting for it's US release.

Movie filled week [so far]
I've been sort of on-the-go with buffing up my filmmaker brain by catching a few flicks. I love movies, which is why I don't understand why, as an aspiring filmmaker, I don't really watch them often. Each movie I watched this week taught me a thing or two that honed what I already know about movie making... Anyway, here are the movies I watched.
First off - [on DVD] - Push

Amazing story with impressive plot twists. The movie took place Hong Kong, which was a nice get away from the cliche New York/Los Angeles settings for super hero films. The acting was, for the most part, great - Dakota Fanning's talent shines [and her drunk act was hilarious!]. I was feelin' Chris Evans and his thermal because I own something similar to it. Holla!
Last - [in Theatres] - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I didn't follow this franchise at all, so I'm not familiar with the story from previous movies... but I went to the midnight premiere anyway just out of curiosity. I remember seeing Sorcerer's YEARS ago when it came out, and I recently saw Phoenix, so that's the only reference I had whilst watching this movie. It was great! I understood the relationships between the characters right away, and was carried through the film no problem. It was cool getting to know Voldermort's background and how he came to be. I enjoyed the movie visually, as well as their amazing scores and great sound. I'm actually excited to see the last installment of the movie and see how it all ends.
First off - [on DVD] - Push

Second - [also on DVD] - Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li

As a stand-alone movie, it was...okay, to say the least... However, as a franchise and relation to Chun-Li and what her character's all about... this movie... PHAILS. Poor execution of the script over all, mediocre acting, and annoying transitions in between scenes (there's only so many times you can "dissolve" to the next scene and get away with it). Granted, I enjoyed watching the fights and other visual tricks shown... and seeing women kick butt never fails to impress me. Street Fighter and Chun-Li both have a great back story going for them... I don't understand why it's so hard to create a film based on a video game especially when the stories and characters are well laid out already.

Last - [in Theatres] - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

So, yeah movies that I watched in a nutshell. Gave my brain a little ache as I typed.
As for updates. I'm planning to make a new video soon, and I'm in the process of writing a web series, so that should keep me busy from distractions right? RIGHT?!

si-si-si-signature si-signature face.
I've been doing this weird "awkward" face for a while in pictures [as you can see on my big header up top] and I think that I'm officially adopting it as my signature face. WHAT. UP. SUHWOOP! ...

Check this picture out! Doesn't that face make you want to take him home on a Friday night? OH YEAH.... just kidding.
Anyway, belated happy fourth everyone! Loud and scary fireworks and all. I hope everyone had a great one. Praise God for belonging in such a blessed country!

Beach bummin.
Fun

sun.
I got all teary eyed and sniffly at the beach though. That part wasn't pleasant. Was I having allergic reactions the the sand? Who knows...

Welcome to my FIRST post.
More like fourth. Yeah so I've been trying to tackle this blogspot since 2005 but it never stuck. So, I'm hoping now it'll find it's niche and I won't have to delete it and recreate it again.
I'll be posting my musings and what not here, so keep checkin back for some more of my nonsense ya? I put together a nice "WELCOME" video for the blog. Enjoy...
Welcome to the brand spankin new Yvan Galermo official blog. Yay.
